According to a recent index of cost of living, Florence ranks 60th in the most expensive cities in the state to live. Based on national averages Florence pays 14% less for the 10 most common bills associated with households including mortgage or rent, utilities, auto insurance and cable and internet. We are about 23% lower than the state average. The study compiled by doxo shows the average Florence household pays about $1,824 per month and household bills account for approximately 37% of annual income. State averages about $2,363 per month. One area that Florence exceeds the national average is Health Insurance. On average Florence residents pay $21.00 more per month.
