doxo Welcomes Michael Smith as Vice President of Provider Payment Services

Michael Joins the doxo Executive Team to Support the Continued Growth and Scale of the Company’s Bill Pay Provider Business

Each year U.S. households spend over $3.87 Trillion on recurring bill payments. While staying on top of these bills is the single largest determinant for consumer financial health, paying them can be a frustrating chore for all involved. Since our inception, doxo has been on a mission to provide simple, secure and innovative bill pay solutions. For the billers we serve, this means offering the easiest, most cost effective way for their customers to pay their bills. As we further our focus on transforming the relationship between billers and consumers, we are pleased to announce that Micheal Smith will be leading our bill pay provider business as Vice President of Provider Payment Services!

Michael is a seasoned software industry professional with over 25 years of experience in commercializing and growing new enterprise software products and services. As Vice President of Provider Payment Services, he is responsible for leading the growth and development of doxo’s bill pay provider business and will work closely with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to drive growth, increase market share, and expand the company’s customer base.

Michael Smith

Prior to joining doxo, Michael held various leadership roles in marketing, sales, and services at venture capital, private equity, and publicly funded software companies across multiple sectors. Most recently, he was Chief Revenue Officer of Yapta, the leading provider of airfare and hotel price tracking services, where he was responsible for driving revenue and leading the marketing, sales, and services teams during a rapid growth period that culminated in it being acquired by Coupa Software (NASDAQ: COUP).

Before that, Michael was the Vice President of Global Marketing for Changepoint Inc. Prior to Changepoint, Michael spent ten years in marketing leadership roles at Microsoft, Cisco and Avaya. He holds an MBA from the Carnegie Mellon Tepper School and a BS in Information Systems also from Carnegie Mellon. 

Michael is known for his ability to understand the needs of his clients and provide them with tailored solutions that meet their specific business goals. He has already proven his dedication to helping doxo continue to deliver innovative and cost-saving technology to our biller partners, and we are very excited to officially welcome him on board!
