Well I don’t have to tell you that the cost of living is continuing to rise, because many of you are already feeling that burden.

A study from research firm DoxoInsights says that residents of the Greenville area are now spending an average of over two thousand dollars per month on household bills.

That’s roughly 40% of the average annual household income in the area. Which is up from an average of around $1,800 per month, this time last year. The average mortgage in the area is up to $1,200 per month and rent is up to over $1,100 on average per month.

While Greenville area residents are feeling the increase, cost of household monthly bills in the area is still nearly 6% lower than the national average. However, it is 5% more than the statewide average in South Carolina.
