LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Household expenses in Las Vegas are 13% higher than the national average, according to a new report.

Las Vegas residents pay an average of $2,407 per month in common bills, the payment platform doxo found in its 2024 Cost of Bills Index (COBI) Report. In comparison, the national average for bills is $2,126 per month.

To create the metric, doxo says it measured the 10 most common household bill categories: Utilities, Cable & Phone, Mobile Phone, Auto Loans, Auto Insurance, Life Insurance, Health Insurance, Alarm & Security, Rent, and Mortgage.

Henderson pays an average of $2,291 per month in bills, according to doxo, and North Las Vegas pays $2,089 per month.

Las Vegas ranked 14th-most expensive of the 50 major U.S. cities measured for household bills. In Nevada, the most expensive residential area is Incline Village, which is part of the Tahoe Basin.

Nevada overall rated 16th-most expensive among all U.S. states.
