CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A recent report from ConsumerAffairs shows the average family’s cost of living has risen 4% in the last 12 months. The report found many essential items have gone up in cost.
A recent report from doxo, a third-party billing site, found the average U.S. household spends more than $25,000 per year on their mortgage and essential household bills.
Let’s break down a few of the items:
doxo found the average monthly mortgage bill in North Carolina is $1,353. South Carolina is a bit cheaper at $1,230
When it comes to how much North Carolinians are spending on monthly utilities, North Carolinians spend an average of $291. South Carolina is slightly higher at $323.
And finally, let’s look at alarms and security
South Carolina pays higher at about $97 every month on home security. North Carolinians pay a monthly payment of $88.
